Revamp Upper Tooting Park playground

The Conservative administration has suspended the improvement plans for our children’s playgrounds in Upper Tooting Park and Wandsworth Common. In 2025 the Labour Council had planned and set aside capital funding to refresh and renew these two playgrounds that help serve our youngest residents. The Upper Tooting Park playground is the only playground for a mile in Balham. This is an essential part of our local children’s lives and development. We are asking for your support to call on the Tory administration to: - Lift the suspension on the funds already earmarked for the two playgrounds - Publish a clear and sensible timeline for the works to take place - Give full transparency - all correspondence and budgets should be released and published - Provide regular updates to our community until the playgrounds are fully renovated and reopened Sign the petition to demand them to lift the suspension so our children can enjoy safe, vibrant local play spaces!
