Prevent Wandsworth children going hungry this summer

The Conservative Council is cutting vital holiday food vouchers for families in need - sign below to tell them not to do this.
When Labour ran Wandsworth Council, we introduced financial support for families most in need during the school holidays as their children are not at school to have free school meals. As a result, more than 10,000 children received a vital £20 a week in holiday food vouchers – support worth up to £260 per child each year.
We call on the Conservative Council to urgently confirm that it will use the Labour Government’s Crisis and Resilience Fund to continue supporting children through the school holidays. Cutting food support would leave some of the borough’s most vulnerable children at risk of going hungry.
We also call on the Conservative Council to continue our programme of enriching holiday activities, nutritious meals and targeted financial support, so that every child has the opportunity to learn, play and thrive during the school holidays. No child or young person in Wandsworth should go hungry when school is closed.
