Shaftesbury & Queenstown

Cllr Sara Apps

Cllr Sara Apps is one of your three Labour Councillors for Shaftesbury and Queenstown ward.

Sara has lived in Shaftesbury and Queenstown ward, Battersea, for over twenty years, serving as your councillor for the last four. She is married to Battersea’s former MP, Martin Linton, and has two children who grew up in the borough.

Before becoming a councillor, Sara worked for a decade campaigning for Palestinian human rights and brings that passion for fairness and justice into her work for the community. She remains steadfast in her support, and has signed the Palestine Solidarity Campaign pledge.

Sara cares passionately about road safety, having experienced family loss to a needless collision, and actively supports improvements for walking, cycling and road safety in the borough.  Sara is a keen cyclist, walker and occasional driver!

Sara has resolved hundreds of case work issues for local people, from housing repairs to fly-tipping.
