Cllr Steve Worrall is one of your three Labour Councillors for Shaftesbury and Queenstown ward.
Steve was elected as a councillor in Shaftsbury and Queenstown in 2022. He has lived in Battersea over 20 years. He is a senior manager in charity with a background in sexual health and previously counselling. He was on board of Governors of two Hospital Trusts. Previously an anti-apartheid activist and AIDS awareness campaigner, Steve was banned from South Africa for his activism.
He is a passionate advocate of LGBTQ+ issues and is involved in council committees overseeing planning, finance, and local services.
Important voting information for those voting in person on Thursday 7th May:
- You can vote anytime between 7am and 10pm.
- You DON’T need your poll card to vote: just turn up and give your name and address.
- You now need photo ID to vote.
- You have three votes, you can vote for all three Labour candidates.
- If you make a mistake on your ballot paper, ask for another
If voting by post, please cast your vote a few days before polls close on 7th May.
